Betting Odds and Predictions for RBC Canadian Open

Fresh off of an extremely exciting British Open, the PGA Tour will move to Canada this weekend. The 2018 RBC Canadian Open will begin on Thursday at Glen Abbey Golf Course in Oakville, Ontario. Many of the contenders at the Open Championship will be sitting this tournament out, but there are still plenty of big names in the field. Let’s take a look at the odds to win the RBC Canadian Open and a pick to win.
Dustin Johnson +650: The number 1 ranked player in the world should be well rested after failing to make the cut at the Open Championship. Johnson struggled to find the fairway at Carnoustie and shot +6 combined in the first two rounds. Glen Abbey sets up much better for Johnson and this could be a great bounce-back tournament for him.
Brooks Koepka +1100: The two-time US Open Champion, Brooks Koepka, checks in with the second best odds this weekend. Koepka finished tied for 39th at the Open Championship after shooting +2 for the tournament.
Tommy Fleetwood +1600: Fleetwood struggled on Sunday at the Open Championship, but still finished -3 for the tournament. Fleetwood is 33rd in FedEx Cup standings, and could use a victory this weekend to climb up the rankings.
Tony Finau +1600: Tony Finau is having a very solid 2018 season on the PGA Tour. Finau has placed in the top 10 at all three Major Tournaments this season, after finishing tied for 9th at Carnoustie. Finau will have a great chance to win this weekend.
Bubba Watson +2000: Watson was the runner up at Glen Abbey in 2015, and should fare well this week. Watson has missed the cuts in the last two majors, but won the Travelers Championship earlier this month.
Charley Hoffman +2500: Hoffman has been solid in his three starts at Glen Abbey in his career. Hoffman put together a good performance at Carnoustie, shooting -2 for the weekend. Look for Hoffman to be in contention on Sunday at the Canadian Open.
Matt Kuchar +2500: Kuchar is another player who has done well in his career at Glen Abbey. Kuchar challenged the leaders at the Open Championship, finishing tied for 9th. Kuchar is one of the most consistent players on tour.
Sergio Garcia +2500: Sergio was receiving great odds to win the Open Championship, but failed to make the cut after shooting +4. Garcia will try to rebound this weekend at Glen Abbey.
Joaquin Niemann +2800: Niemann has made just 9 starts since turning professional, but has finished in the top 25 six times. Niemann is receiving decent odds for a relatively new player on the tour.
Everyone Else +3300 or Better: There are still some very solid golfers in this group, but anyone from this group would have to be considered a longshot to win the tournament. In this group is Jhonattan Vegas (+66000), who will be trying to win the Canadian Open for a third straight year.
The Pick: Look for Jhonattan Vegas to be in contention for a third straight title on Sunday at Glen Abbey. Eventually, Vegas will fall off as Dustin Johnson and Matt Kuchar duel it out for another exciting finish. Look for Matt Kuchar (+2500) to finish off a terrific weekend with a victory at the 2018 RBC Canadian Open.
