Big Dollar Casino Review
Big Dollar Casino is one of the more trustworthy sites you can sign up for if you’re looking to play casino games online. It’s especially true for players based in the United States or Canada, two countries on which this brand focuses. The company that owns Big Dollar is called Genesys Technology NV, and they operate it through a subsidiary called Aredera Limited, out of Cyprus.
The games which are offered inside come from Betsoft, Saucify (Betonsoft) and Rival Games. Hundreds of excellent games are provided inside, with the usual major focus on slot machines that every site of this type will have, just due to developers’ sheer number of titles offered in this category.
Some of the things that they pride themselves on include quick payouts, excellent promotions and their VIP section, while also offering content for most platforms.
The gaming license that allows them to function is issued by Curacao’s authorities, to Genesis Technology NV. It’s used to power about 16 other casinos owned by the group, besides Big Dollar. It’s not the most reputable gaming license around. Still, many casinos rely on it, and it’s not a major issue provided that you’re playing at a casino with a good reputation (and Big Dollar certainly qualifies).
I like the design of the casino as well, it’s elegant, even though it’s quite heavy on black (that makes it easier on the eyes though). You can download software both from Rival and Saucify, or you can play their titles online.
Big Dollar Casino Games
I’ve counted over 250 titles in their Games section, and there is more than enough variety there to cover most players’ needs, particularly if you mostly care about video slots. As I’ve previously mentioned, they rely on three developers to provide them with content, and while these aren’t the biggest names of the industry, they’re very well known, and the quality of their games is not disputed. The three companies are Saucify (Betonsoft), Betsoft and Rival.
The main categories in which they’re splitting up their games are the expected ones. You get the Featured section, along with Slots, Poker, Table Games and Other. I really like that they offer additional options for you to filter the games, based on features present, progressive jackpots or the number of lines available.
Slots: The vast majority of the content available at Big Dollar Casino seems to be in this category, with more than 200 of their 250+ titles being found inside. It’s a long list of games to choose from, but as I mentioned above, there are filters to help you do that, along with a search bar if you already know what you’re interested in.
Poker: If you’re a fan of Video Poker, this is where you will find a couple of games of that type. It’s not a very long list, only 11 titles are mentioned, among which I will mention Joker Poker, Deuces & Joker Poker, or Deuces Wild.
Table Games: This one is even smaller, with only 9 games included. I’ve found mostly Blackjack (Vegas Strip, European, Single Deck, Atlantic City), along with European Roulette.
Other: Once again, you’re out of luck if you’re interested in scratch cards, board games or other instant titles. What you get in this category, is 4 variants of Keno (Keno, Power Keno, Captain Keno and Super Keno), which is OK if you’re a fan of this type of game in particular.
They offer players the option to play from mobile devices, but not all games appear to be available there. They mention how over 50 games are provided on mobile devices, out of the 250 which appear to be present on their site across all categories. It might be an older text on their site, though. I’d assume they have well over 100 titles being available for mobile users by now.
Big Dollar Casino Bonuses
It’s a long list of promotions, though it all starts with the Welcome Bonus, which triples the money you get to start with, using a 200% match for deposits, and adding up to $500 to your bankroll. Wagering requirements are set to 60x, and there will be a limit of $1,000, on how much one can cash out if the bonus is above 100% (true of all promotions which seem generous on their site).
As you get past that initial stage, you will find a very long list of promotions that you can claim along the way.
- Leaderboard (ex: $50,000 leaderboard for the current week).
- Monthly promotions (ex: Hallowins October with $45,000 in prizes).
- Payday Payout (get the deposits back for the month).
- Bonus Accelerator.
- Daily Promotions.
- $10,000 Bonus Drops on Thursdays.
Security and Safety
The security measures present at Big Dollar seem to be the same ones you find everywhere else. SSL encryption is always used these days, even when you’re not on pages where sensitive information may be found.
The bit that might give me pause at other casinos would be Curacao’s gaming license, which doesn’t offer a player as much protection. However, given the reputation of Big Dollar Casino, a site that has been around since 2006, I’d say there is nothing to worry about.
Deposits & Withdrawals
Several currencies are accepted when the player makes a deposit at Big Dollar. Among those mentioned, we find the US Dollar, Canadian Dollar, Euro, British Pound, Norwegian Krone, Swedish Krona and Danish Krone. They’ve added the Bitcoin option as well these days.
The list of options does look limited for deposits, but most of these are popular and easy to sign up for. Both debit and credit cards may be used, along with Skrill, Neteller and EcoCard. The currencies which can be used vary with each method.
Now, if you want to make a withdrawal, the list changes somewhat. Only Neteller remains from the previous list, but they add the options to use checks and wire transfers. I’d stick with the online option or wire transfers if possible (they’re free), as the check requires a processing fee of $30. They process requests daily, but then they only make payments on Tuesdays and Fridays.
A minimum of $100 needs to be withdrawn, which can be a downside, as other casinos set that limit much lower. There are upper limits as well, with anywhere from $2,000 to $10,000 that you can cash out each week, depending on the Loyalty tier that you’re at.
It’s a well-established casino, it’s not a new brand, and they do take care of their players. 24/7 support is available, 365 days per year. You can use live chat, email and even phone, with a toll-free number being available.
If we leave the $1,000 limits that they seem to have in place for withdrawals from bonuses higher than 100%, I think you will find a lot to be happy about if you choose to play at Big Dollar Casino. The addition of the Bitcoin option should make a lot of players happy, especially as the list of payment options is fairly limited otherwise.
All in all, a good choice for players based in North America, specifically in the US and Canada, while those from other countries will often have access to even better options.
