The main resource that people use when transferring money into their online casino accounts is via their bank. In most regions of the world, this can be done directly via a bank transfer or an online banking facility, or directly with the transaction being performed by an associated financial facilitator such as Visa.
Visa does not operate in every country on the planet, though. If you are within a jurisdiction where Visa does not operate, you need to find an alternative. For people in Russia, Ukraine and a few other countries, they may account for Alfa Bank. Here you will find out how you can get money from your Alfa-Bank account into your online casino account.
A Brief History of Alfa-Bank
Alfa-Bank was created as recently as 1990 by Russian businessman Mikhail Fridman. Initially purely only a commercial bank, it would eventually become a bank for consumers too although mainly only in Russia and with a small presence in Ukraine. Over time, Alfa-Bank began to offer its services to international clients, but only for commercial ones, opening offices in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands.
In 2006 Alfa-Bank launched Alfa-Click, an internet-based payments system designed to allow people with Alfa-Bank accounts to make online payments directly over the internet using an Alfa-Click username and password.
In 2016 Alfa-Bank came under scrutiny by America’s FBI for links between US President Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin and the three current Alfa Group owners (the owners of Alfa-Bank) which included Mikhail Fridman itself. A lawsuit was filed in response to this allegation in 2018 but then dismissed by the US’s Supreme Court later the same year.
Alfa-Bank does not have a debit card agreement with Visa (unlike countless other banks), but it does have a credit card agreement with MasterCard.

How to use Alfa-Bank at Online Casinos
Naturally, to use Alfa-Bank at an online casino, you will need to have an Alfa-Bank account. Alfa-Bank has a large real-world presence in Russia and other countries (over 800 premises in total), so you can visit the branch that is closest to you to discuss opening an account. You can also apply to open an account online, but that is a little more difficult. You will, of course, be able to use your Alfa-Bank account for much more than making deposits and withdrawals to online casinos, as you will already know if you have an Alfa-Bank account.
For the use at online casinos (and elsewhere), Alfa-Bank offers a service called Alfa-Click. This service forms part of Alfa-Bank’s internet services. As part of your Alfa-Bank account’s set-up, you would have applied for Alfa-Click services if you wished to operate your account online.
To use Alfa-Click head to your chosen online casino’s cashier page that will facilitate payments via Alfa-Bank. Choose Alfa-Click as your chosen option and select the amount that you want to withdraw. Note that Alfa-Click will only work with Russian Roubles, but if you are operating an Alfa-Bank account your casino account will probably be running in Russian Roubles anyway.
You will need to enter your Alfa-Click username and password. Once you have cleared verification, you will need to okay the transfer. Your money should be transferred from your Alfa-Bank account to your casino account within a few minutes or even sooner. You should not be charged for using Alfa-Click at an online casino to make a deposit.
Withdrawals can be made to via practically the same process; only you will be taking money out of your online casino account and into your Alfa-Bet account instead of the other way around. Sadly, you may get charged a fee for making an Alfa-Bet withdrawal, but the fee should be minimal. It would be best if you always preferred to play at an online casino that does not charge for withdrawals.
If you are based in Russia, then it’s likely that you may already have an Alfa-Bank account as it has become one of the largest Russian-based banks. If not, then it is relatively straightforward to open an account. When you open your account make sure you set up your Alfa-Click facility as without it you will not be able to make deposits online.
As ever, remember to gamble responsibly always and never, ever gamble with money that you cannot afford to lose.
