Undine`s Deep Slot by Endorphina
The beauty of the ocean and of the underwater life that we never get to really see is being exploited to the maximum by this slot machine from Endorphina, called Undine’s Deep slot. It’s not the first time that this has happened, and in fact there are a lot of games that do the same. Slot machines tend to look very good when they take on this sort of theme, particularly when the developer is skilled in offering great designs. Endorphina does that very well, and Undine’s Deep is a slot game that is attractive.
While your focus is likely to be on the beautiful symbols of the ocean’s creatures and mermaids at first, once you get back to the reels you will discover a game with 10 win lines, which are used on 5×3 reels. Looking further, to the features that were included, will reveal:
- Wild symbols with 2x multipliers
- Scatter symbols
- 15 Free Games with 3x multipliers
Theme & Graphics
The ocean life theme can be incredibly beautiful when it is well designed, and I like what Endorphina did with it. You see a glimpse of it in the background, with small seahorses swimming through the plants rising from the bottom. On the reels, the symbols start strong, with the Mermaid and a Gold Fish, and then continue with Starfish, Sea Horses, Shells and a few others. They didn’t miss the opportunity to use playing cards as well though, and that can take away from the slot’s design.
Undine’s Deep is the sort of game where the features are exciting to play through, an effect that multipliers always seem to have, and this slot uses them for full effect.
First, check out the “Gold Fish”, the symbol that’s going to be used in the wild’s role. The ability to be part of other combinations is something that has been often given to symbols, in most slot machines you’re seeing online these days. There is always at least one that gets this role, which helps the player win more over the course of his game sessions. In Undine’s Deep, the wild also gets the ability to double wins from combinations that it is included in. The symbol is usable in combination with a regular symbol, but it will not be a replacement for a scatter.
The “Mermaid” is clearly the most attractive symbol that you’re going to see in Undine’s Deep, and it’s going to be the slot’s scatter. Have it appear at random, in any positions around the reels and during the same round, to win payouts from it (2+ symbols) and free spins (3+ symbols).
The feature that you’re getting from the scattered Mermaid will consist of 15 free spins, where a 3x multiplier will be applied to any wins that are formed. The multiplier works particularly well in the case of the wild Gold Fish since the top jackpot can be worth $270,000 thanks to it, rather than the still very attractive $90,000 of the base game. As for the regular combinations which get formed during the free games, they can benefit both from the 3x multiplier and from the wild’s 2x multiplier, for a total of 6x applied to their wins.
Betting & Jackpots
When you’re setting up your bet for Undine’s Deep slot, you are working with the number of lines, with how many coins will go to each one, but also with the value of said coins. These three values are in clickable displays, in the bottom left and right, as well as the top left corners. To modify the value of each one, you click on the display until you reach the one you need.
The lines let you choose 1 to 10 to have active, but I’d recommend keeping them all, or the game might get boring if you reduce the number of chances to form a win each round. Increasing the bet per line is done through the number of coins, 1 to 10 usable in each case, or through the denomination ($0.01 to $1). You will be able to spend up to $100 per spin of Undine’s Deep, while the starting point is at just $0.01. There is enough variety there, to accommodate various budgets and types of players.
As always, the most interesting part of a game is going to be the jackpot, not the bet that you must use. The top jackpot of Undine’s Deep slot certainly looks interesting, offering a 9,000x reward, or up to $90,000 during your paid spins. Get it during the free spins, and it makes the jump to 27,000x, or $270,000 at most. It’s an impressive set of rewards.
As is the case with all slots coming from Endorphina, they’ve gone with a 96% Return to Player.
