Major League Baseball Best Weekend Bets: June 8-10

Major League Baseball Best Weekend Bets: June 8-10

Here is a look at the best weekend bets for June 8 -10:

Friday: Washington Nationals vs. San Francisco Giants

The San Francisco Giants travel to our Nation’s capital to take on the Washington Nationals this weekend. The Nationals have been one of the hottest teams in the National League in recent weeks and find themselves atop the National League East standings. The Giants have struggled with injuries all season long, but are still in the mix in the West division. Stephen Strasburg will start for the Nationals on Friday night, and should be able to keep the Giants offense under control.

Friday: Boston Red Sox vs. Chicago White Sox

The Boston Red Sox will play host to the Chicago White Sox this weekend. The Red Sox have the best record in the MLB up to this point, while the White Sox are going through another rebuilding year. Chris Sale will also get the chance to face his former team in the series opener on Friday evening. Sale is one of the top pitchers in all of baseball, and should dominate the young White Sox lineup. The White Sox simply don’t have enough talent to compete with one of the best teams in baseball.

Saturday: Chicago Cubs vs. Pittsburgh Pirates

Central Division rivals are set to square off in Wrigley Field this weekend as the Cubs and Pirates will meet up. The Pirates got off to a great start to the 2018 season, but have fallen on hard times of late. The Cubs meanwhile have gone through a hot stretch that has gotten them right back in the Central Division race. Cubs ace, Jon Lester, will start for the Cubs on Saturday afternoon. Lester is 6-2 with a 2.44 ERA so far this season, and should be able to keep the Pirates offense at bay. Look for the Cubs to stay hot and beat the Pirates behind Lester on Saturday.

Sunday: Detroit Tigers vs. Cleveland Indians

Corey Kluber will start the series finale for the Cleveland Indians against divisional rival, the Detroit Tigers. The Indians are once again leading the AL Central Division, but the Tigers are still in the mix. Detroit has not announced a starting pitcher for Sunday’s game, but it might not matter against the potent Indians offense. Kluber is 9-2 with a sparkling 1.96 ERA so far this season, and should be a safe bet to defeat the Tigers on Sunday afternoon.

Sunday: New York Mets vs. New York Yankees

The Mets and Yankees will wrap up their Subway Series in Citi Field on Sunday Night Baseball. The two rivals are headed in opposite directions, but this series is always extremely competitive. The Mets continue to have trouble keeping starting pitchers healthy, and will need to find a starter for Sunday night. The Yankees will send Luis Severino to the mound, and he is 9-1 with a 2.20 ERA so far in 2018. This should be a fun weekend series for the fans in New York, but the Yankees are the much better team. Look for Severino to wrap up the weekend with a solid outing in leading the Yankees to a win over the Mets on Sunday Night Baseball.
