Play’n GO’s ‘one slot a week’ promise in 2020

Play’n GO’s ‘one slot a week’ promise in 2020

When Swedish software house Play’n GO announced their intention to release one new online slot game per week in 2020, it drew a great deal of scepticism from so-called industry experts in the gambling arena. Play’n GO was already a prolific online slots maker, but could one company churn out fifty-two online slots per year and – perhaps most importantly – fifty-two online slots that were actually worth playing?

Of course, Play’n GO have had, in 2020, to contend with the same difference to everything that the global pandemic has made. Despite this and despite having their developers working from home and other issues, Play’n GO have risen to the challenge and kept their promise. Each week in 2020 has seen the release of a brand-new online slots game from Play’n GO.

Fresh in October Play’n GO released details of the games that are due to be released before the turn of the year. Here at NewCasinos.org we now provide you with a run-down of some of the most exciting Play’n GO titles that will be appearing at both new Play’n GO casinos and established ones before 2021 swings in (and hopefully, brings some normal way of life with it).

Rabbit Hole Riches

Aside from the sheer number of slots they release, Play’n GO are a little unique among the leading providers of online slots in that they still release a fair number of three-reel slots. Both Rally 4 Riches and Charlie Chance in Hell to Pay were three-reel slots released by Play’n GO in 2020, and superb examples of this particular niche they were too.

Rabbit Hole Riches promises to be another excellent three-reel slot from Play’n GO, due for release on October 8th. It is not clear from the title, but this game is yet another based on the classic Lewis Carroll book ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’.  This is a simple-looking slot with only five paylines, but as the book it is based on came out in 1865, it’s hardly a surprise that this game has a retro-feel.

If you are expecting cuddly bunny rabbits and other cute critters, then think again! Like many modern workings of Carroll’s classic, this Play’n GO take has a darker feel.

Helloween

The good news here is that you will not have to wait until Halloween to play this release … although as near as dammit as this title is due to hit online casinos on October 15th. Also, if you think that this game must be a mix of ‘Hell’ and ‘Halloween’ then you are right but then again kind of wrong too. This is the latest release in Play’n GO’s weird line of music-themed games based on largely forgotten rock bands.

Helloween is a German power rock band formed in 1984 by musicians Kai Henson, Markis Grosskopf, Michael Weikath and Ingo Schwichtenberg (who passed away in 1995). Tribute is paid to them here with a 5-reel, 10-payline slot with an RTP of 96.2%.

Like other slots in this series (Saxon, Annihilator, Twisted Sister and Demon) you can listen to many of Helloween’s hits while you play this game.

Madame Ink

In previous decades the only people are seen to be sporting tattoos would-be sailors and thugs. Things are very different in 2020, and its almost the norm for everyone under the age of 30 to know how it feels to be pricked by a tattooist’s needle.

In celebration of this, on October 22nd you’ll be able to play Madame Ink from Play’n GO. This slot has a 96.25% RTP and a maximum win value of 5,000 times your stake. There is not a great amount of information around about this game at the moment, other than that it seems to be set in a Chinese Tattooists and has five reels and 20 paylines.

You can expect other features such as expanding wilds and mystery symbols too.

Disco Diamonds

It’s another case of a retro slot from Play’n GO with this title due for release by Play’n GO on October 29th. This though is a five-reel slot with 20 paylines – it’s the symbols that are used that give this game the retro feel with cherries, lemons, lucky 7s and that famous ‘bar’ motif.

Another game with a 5,000x jackpot, it also has wilds and its own bonus wheel feature. There is also going to be an increasing multiplier plus respins whenever you win. Expect more information when this online slots game hits the casinos.

The other forthcoming Play’n GO releases due out before the end of the year are Holiday Spirits (November 5th – based on Charles Dickens’ ‘A Christmas Carol’), Rise of Athena (November 12th), Dragon’s Diamond (November 19th), New Year Riches (November 26th), Ice Joker (December 3rd), Frozen Gems (December 10th), Golden Osiris (December 17th), and Piggy Bank Farm (December 29th).

Here for your convenience is a full list of slots released so far in 2020 by Play’n GO: Coywolf Cash, Leprechaun Goes Wild, Dawn of Egypt, Fortunes of Ali Baba, Testament, Riches of Robin, Sticky Joker, That’s Rich, Ring of Odin, Annihilator, Troll Hunters 2, Agent Destiny, Charlie Chance in Hell to Pay, Rich Wilde and the Shield of Athena, Twisted Sister, Rally 4 Riches, Doom of Dead, Nyjah Huston Skate for Gold, Gold Volcano, Win a Beest, Riddle Reels: A Case of Riches, Blinged, Saxon, Diamond Vortex, Jolly Roger 2, Golden Ticket 2, Octopus Treasure, Feline Fury, Celebration of Wealth and Reactoonz 2. Apologies to Play’n GO if we have missed any!

It’s been a hectic year for Swedish developers Play’n GO, but a very successful one. Who knows what 2021 will bring for them and what plans the company has for the year!
